KELO-COTE^® is an advanced formula silicone scar treatment. Clinically proven in over 10 documented studies to soften and flatten raised scars as well as reducing discolouration and redness, KELO-COTE^® can be used to treat existing scars or to help prevent new scars from forming, if used as soon as the wound is closed or stitches are removed. KELO-COTE^® is most effective on new scars and immature scars up to 2 years old.

Topical silicone therapies like KELO-COTE^® have been used by plastic surgeons and other healthcare professionals to treat hypertrophic and keloid scars since the early 1980’s¹ (with the KELO-COTE^® formulation established in 1998). These therapies are recommended as the first line treatment in international scar treatment guidelines.

KELO-COTE^®’s patented formula binds to the skin’s surface creating an ultra-thin sheet which can give treatment and protection for 24 hours per day. Once applied it dries within just 5 minutes* and is available as a spray which avoids the need to touch scar areas which may be sensitive – such as burns.

It’s recommended to continue the treatment for 60 to 90 days to see the best results. However, if you continue to see improvement at the end of this period then it may be beneficial to continue treatment.
